Pioneer in somatic education
The Somatic Academy Berlin (SAB) was founded in 2012 by Marion Evers and Kai Ehrhardt to fill a gap in the German educational landscape and promote the field of somatics. As a pioneering institution in the German-speaking world, the SAB is dedicated to the field of work and research on the experiential body. Its primary goal is to illuminate and facilitate the exploration of the diversity of perspectives, advantages, and limitations of somatic methods.
SAB strives to strengthen the entire field of body-based approaches through interdisciplinary collaboration and to teach experiential knowledge in a professional manner. This also involves empowering people to be both autonomous and capable of relationships, self-empowered and empathetic, and connected to themselves and a greater whole.
The SAB thus plays an important role in adult education and the health sector by bringing somatic knowledge and experiences into society and contributing to the recognition of experiential knowledge as an indispensable part of our overall knowledge.
The Somatic Academy Berlin (SAB) has established itself as a pioneer in the field of somatic education. As one of the first institutions in Germany to offer comprehensive training in somatic movement pedagogy, the SAB sets new standards in the integration of various somatic methods and their application in diverse fields.
