Dancing Tigers
02. Sep 2025 - 07. Okt 2025
T.R.E. Tension/Release and Trauma Healing Oriented Somatic Combo
Healing arises through the activation of inner will and the recognition of the power of this decision to awaken the tiger that has been sleeping within us.
The Awakening of the Tiger is a metaphor inspired by the book and work of psychologist Peter Levine on trauma healing and somatic experiencing, referring to awakening our true powers to release old tensions and fears.
During this course we will first enter the T.R.E. exercise method of Dr. D. Berceli with conscious breathing and then with gentle mobilizations and dance movements. The students are guided to perceive and deal with their physical tensions, to accept and trust their body, and finally to release their tensions by surrendering to the power and pleasure of the “dancing tiger” within them, the wild “shower-flow” of involuntary tremors.

What is T.R.E. (Trauma/Tension Release Exercise Method)?
T.R.E. was developed by Dr. David Berceli. It is a method for deep relaxation of body and mind. It consists of 7 physical exercises that slowly, from the ankles upward, serve to release the psoas muscle. Once the psoas muscle relaxes, the pelvis glides further down and the diaphragm finds more space, so that we can breathe in and especially breathe out better.
The relaxation of the psoas muscle triggers involuntary tremors that activate the lymphatic system and the parasympathetic nervous system in a neurobiological process in which toxins, tensions and in certain cases also traumas are released.
T.R.E. is a simple but profound therapeutic tool. It heals invisibly from the inside out, session by session, and it opens for self-love, universal love and freedom. What we can learn from T.R.E. is that every person needs to shake, that shaking is good. As we learn to welcome the tremors, we learn to let go and trust our body. Our body has the power to heal itself. Please wear comfortable t-shirts or shirts and leggings or soft linen/cotton pants. The course takes place in the back building, 2. HH, 3rd floor.
